THE PHYSICAL STORE

SHEIN stores will focus on solveing the problem of overconsumption, and call for attention on sustainability. We will start from three points. Firstly, we provide recycling bins for unwanted products and reuse the fabric of the garments to reduce the emissions caused by the fabric manufacturing process. Second, we want to use the physical store as a medium of exchange. People can freely exchange their clothing jewelry and other items here, thus achieving the purpose of recycling. Thirdly, we hope that people can freely share their views on fashion here, help others find products that suit their style, and help her design her own clothes. We hope that when people know exactly what they need, they can reduce the cost of making mistakes and minimize the emissions and pollution caused by purchasing unwanted and unneeded products.

INTERIOR AND GRAPHICS ︎︎︎
Gen Zers value self-expression with focus on personality, youthfulness, and expressiveness. These elements play roles in both graphic and interior design consideration. Typeface used in graphic elecment is STRRECH SANS, which express strong personality and modernness through the form of text. Posters and slogans not only serve as decorations, but also works as reminder to prevent over-consumption. 

The interior of the store immerses customers in a lively, energetic, and contemporary atmosphere. The overall ambiance is both inviting and trendy, making it a visually appealing space for fashion lovers to explore their path of fashion.

THE INTERACTIVE SCREEN
AND FABRIC SPECIMEN WALL ︎︎︎
The interactive screen showcases various fabrics available at SHEIN. They are color-coded, corresponding to the fabrics on the  specimen wall. The screen provides detailed sustainability information for each fabric, breaking down aspects such as manufacturing processes, materials used, and more.

The fabric specimen wall provides tangible samples of each frabics,  allowing customers to touch and feel the textures. Knowing the characteristic of each fabric can help them decide which is best suitable for them. By squeezing the fabric tube, the screen on the left will swift to the scorresponding page.

These tags are color-coded, allowing customers to quickly locate the type of fabric they are looking for, and making it easier for them to find the corresponding material on the fabric specimen wall and the interactive screen.


SWAPPING AND STYLEBOARD
CLOTHING SWAP ︎︎︎
This is a resting area where people get to bring in their clothing and exchange with other, giving their unwanted cloth a second life, and decrease the emission in the process of manufaturing.

STYLEBOARD ︎︎︎
Using the magazines and other materials provided by SHEIN, customers are able to share they fashion insight and their aesthetic with fellow  fashion enthusiasts through collage and sketching. Their work will not only inspire others, but also encourage SHEIN designers to develop more new and exciting items.

RECYCLING BINS ︎︎︎
“Recycle, reworn, reuse”, we encourage people to bring in their unwanted clothing and donate them to people in need.

These billboard will be hang around the city, promoting SHEIN retail store and the concept of not over-consuming: “quality over quantaty”, “think before buying”, “only buy the right one”, and recycling service provided by SHEIN.
